A work order can be created,
Then Allocated
Then Issued/WIP
Then Finished/Completed
You don't have to go through each stage. You can create a work order and go straight to WIP or straight to completion.
Just creating a work order doesn't drive shortages. It's just a place holder. You can create work orders way out into the future to remind you or maybe tell other people what you're intending to do.
Only in the 'Allocated' state does it drive shortage reports. Maybe 'Allocated' isn't the best name for that stage but it's the stage that you tell MiniMRP that you want to start allocating materials to that work order and to include required items in the shortage report.

By: dorisdey celarie | Posted on: Jun 10 2024 at 11:01:48 AM | Hello there, I have ran all below minimum report and I am finding a part number shows I have Zero inventory, however, when i look the part number up in components, it shows I have material on hand. Would you be able to support as to why this would happen and how I can fix it?

By: Support | Posted on: Jun 21 2024 at 05:29:22 AM | hello dorisdey. We also received and answered your question by email.
We replied to your email saying that sometimes the problem is that the same part number can exist with different revision numbers. You replied to say that that was your problem.
We're glad that your problem is now explained.
