What happens on a mass update of prices with the parts for which the supplier is not the default supplier?

Mass update?

If you go to the ItemDetail window (that's the one where you can edit item description etc) and you go to the supplier tab and you edit the price of that item for the default supplier then MiniMRp automatically updates build costs for every assembly that includes that item. But if you edited the price of a NonDefault supplier then it just changes that nonDefault supplier's price. It doesn't affect any assemblies.

But 'Mass Update'. How are you doing a Mass Update? Do you mean you're importing a whole new set of supplier and price data from an Excel/CSV File? If you do that then the imported suppliers and supplier pricing becomes the default. It assumes the most recent imported data is the default

Any other way to Mass Update? If not the above then please explain how you're mass updating prices.

BTW. I'm not support. I'm a user just like you but I am interested to know how you're mass updating prices.

Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry for the delay with the reply.

We have a major supplier and I use to update their prices using a csv file (with the parts in their price list we are most interested); this allow us to have their prices current.

Now we found another interesting supplier (better prices for many items) and we would like to load their prices for the same parts we are usually outsourcing from the first supplier.

I just wonder what would happen in the database: would the new supplier become the default supplier for the updated items?
